Women’s Fund impact highlighted ahead of annual fall luncheon
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse’s fall luncheon is less than a week away.
The program has impacted programs throughout the community like the Teen Clothes Closet.
The closet received a grant from the Women’s Fund, so they could purchase hair kits for a racially diverse population.
The First Teen Clothes Closet was one of 28 programs in the area supported by grants from the women’s fund.
Money allows for the closet to do more than help kids look their best.
“We want kids to have dignity and to feel good about themselves. As they go to school, they can concentrate on the things they need to concentrate on,” said First Teen Clothes Closet volunteer Bridget Crave.
The Women’s Fund Fall Luncheon will take place October 23rd at UW-La Crosse’s Student Union.
The event runs from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Information is available on the Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse website.
