Women’s Fund distributes grants
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Projects impacting women and girls in our area are getting a boost.
The Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse is awarding nearly $72,000 to 19 organizations throughout La Crosse.
The grants will help go towards a variety of projects, like the Family and Children’s Center’s Hope Academy and Rental Assistance through the Salvation Army.
The Women’s fund members think of the grants as a chance to enjoy the impact that they have in the community.
“We’d like to think that in our 20th year we can sort of reinvigorate the work we’re doing and really get the stories of women and girls that are helping out there,” said Kaycie Green, Executive Director of the Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse.
The amount awarded today was nearly $20,000 more than had ever been awarded.
