With bell ringing done, Salvation Army short of Red Kettle goal

Campaign short of $1 million goal for January 31st

The bells may be done ringing for the season, but there’s still time to donate to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign.

Bell Ringers helped collect more than $293,000 during the holiday season this year. In all, the Red Kettle Campaign has collected about $650,000 but is still short of its million-dollar goal for the end of January.

“We’re still down quite a bit from where we were last year, even though we have a larger goal this year, and we’re really hoping that the final month of January is where we see some more of those donations that are made,” said Nick Ragner of the Salvation Army.

You can drop off a donation at the Salvation Army’s office, mail a check to the Salvation Army or donate online through January 31st.

The Salvation Army is located at 223 North 8th Street in La Crosse.
