Wisconsin women’s hockey advances to national championship game
No. 2 seed Wisconsin women’s hockey defeated No. 3 Ohio State 4-2 Thursday in Frozen Four action to advance to Saturday’s national championship game.
The Badgers opened the scoring just over a minute into the game and would build a 3-0 lead with a pair of goals early in the second period.
Wisconsin will play in its ninth national title game Saturday at 6:30 p.m. against Northeastern. If the previous eight championship games, the Badgers have won five of them.
