Wisconsin veterans bring donations to Monroe County for Afghans at Fort McCoy
$150,000 worth of items donated
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) – More veterans step up to help those evacuated from Afghanistan.
The Concerned Veterans for America foundation partnered with House of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee to collect 150-thousand dollars worth of relief supplies.
They pulled in to the Team Rubicon warehouse in Sparta Monday morning.
“A lot of us that did serve in Afghanistan feel like these are individuals that had our back when we were there over the course of a 20 year conflict. And now that they’re coming to the United States, it’s our opportunity to welcome them into our neighborhoods and our communities,” said CVA Foundation’s Brian Sikma.
$150,000 worth of items were donated.
