Wisconsin reports highest one-day COVID-19 case total since late January

According to the CDC, Monroe and Jackson Counties are now at a substantial level of spread of the virus.

UNDATED (WKBT) – There are 1,573 new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin Thursday, the highest one day total since late January.

The Department of Health Services also reported three new deaths.

Vaccinators administered 5,301 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Cases of COVID-19 are up in our area as well.

According to the CDC, Monroe and Jackson Counties are now at a substantial level of spread of the virus.

And Chippewa, Eau Claire and Pepin are at high levels of spread.

The CDC recommends wearing a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission of the virus.

And in Minnesota, Houston County moves from substantial to high spread of the virus.
