Wisconsin men’s basketball calls off game with George Mason
Tonight’s Wisconsin men’s basketball game against George Mason has been called off and will not be played, per an official team announcement.
According to an official team release, “The decision was made by UW medical officials after positive COVID-19 tests were found within the Wisconsin program.”
The matchup was already a Plan B of sorts for Wisconsin after Morgan State, the Badgers’ originally scheduled opponent, had developed COVID issues within its program. Wisconsin had cemented the matchup with George Mason on Wednesday.
The next scheduled game for the Badgers is Dec. 29 at home against Illinois State.
