Wisconsin Lift Truck hosts ribbon cutting event in West Salem

Virtual reality forklifts, simulators on display

The latest industry innovations were on display at a new West Salem facility on Tuesday.

June 11 is National Forklift Safety Day, and Wisconsin Lift Truck in West Salem held it’s grand opening and ribbon cutting, showing off the latest in material handling innovations and safety solutions.

The event included pedestrian awareness systems, virtual reality forklift simulators, and automated solutions.

Industry professionals also attended the event to speak on ways to improve efficiency, productivity and cost-effectiveness in the handling industry.

President of the Wolter Group Wisconsin Lift Truck, Jerry Weidmann, say’s there is a variety of handling equipment that will benefit the area.

“A major focus of this facility is rail car movers, which is very big in this part of the state for the frac sand industry, and we distribute the shuttle wagon brand of rail car movers and service all kinds.”

This is the eighth facility the company has built in the state.
