Wisconsin Gov. Evers supports Biden’s campaign effort during virtual event
Virtual event focuses on health care
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is giving his support to Joe Biden’s campaign effort.
The Democratic governor hosted a ‘What’s at Stake virtual event Thursday morning.
The event focused on health care coverage and costs as well as the possible impacts a new Supreme Court Justice could have on the Affordable Care Act.
Evers calls the Trump administration’s actions intentional.
“Trump’s administration has pushed forward with their effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act. That move frankly would strip millions of Americans of their health care,” said Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers.
In response, a representative for the Trump campaign said in part “President Trump is lowering health care costs, protecting pre-existing conditions, and leading a bold coronavirus response. No one cares about the perspective of an unpopular failed governor advocating for a government health care takeover on Zoom.”
