Wisconsin DHS expanding vaccine eligibility criteria to protect against monkeypox
(WKBT)- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is expanding eligibility criteria for state residents who can get the monkeypox vaccine, according to an official release Wednesday.
Among the new criteria are people who have a new diagnosis of one or more nationally reportable sexually transmitted diseases. The full list of criteria can be found here.
DHS has identified 81 monkeypox cases in Wisconsin as of Wednesday.
Wisconsin residents can contact their local health department or dial 211 for assistance finding a location with the vaccine.
