Winter Survival Kit tips from Ready Wisconsin
Keep kit in cab, trunk may jam or freeze
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Now that winter driving conditions are here, officials would like to remind you to set up an emergency kit for your car.
Ready Wisconsin is part of a national campaign to get people prepared for many different situations, and they would like you to focus on being able to survive if your car breaks down in the cold. They say a winter survival kit can go a long way to save your life and the lives of your passengers.
They recommend you keep some water and food in your car, along with extra clothes, a first aid kit, jumper cables, and a flashlight.
Ready Wisconsin says you should try to keep all of this in your vehicles cab as well, since the trunk could jam or freeze shut.
