Winter Farmers Market moving to new indoor location downtown
Customers can shop at the Radisson Center ballroom starting Nov. 7
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The fall season is here, which means the Farmers Market at Cameron Park is closing at the end of the month.
But, that doesn’t mean the farmers market season is over. The market association is providing a new indoor location downtown for vendors to sell off their goods. Customers can go shopping at the Radisson Center ballroom downtown starting Nov. 7 through Dec. 19 in an effort to draw more people.
Market managers say there are less customers and vendors this year largely due to COVID, so any amount of money the farmers can get helps big time.
“Every dollar counts that’s spent at this market because this supports over 50 small businesses,” market manager Linda Vale said. “And we know that these small businesses have been hit the hardest with COVID-19.”
Vale says the Myrick Park Center hosted the winter farmers market for the last four years.
