Winona State men’s basketball home series with Sioux Falls canceled

USF dealing with COVID-19 cases

The tough news continues for for Winona State men’s basketball.

After going through quarantine protocol and missing their last three games, their home series this weekend with Sioux Falls is canceled, due to a COVID-19 situation with Sioux Falls. Since the NSIC has prioritized conference-only seasons, Winona State will likely only play this week if another conference matchup is derailed by COVID-19, but an official release says the team is “exploring options.”

Winona State women’s basketball will be proceeding to their series at Sioux Falls this weekend, per the announcement.

The Warrior women’s team had also been in COVID-19 protocol since the beginning of this month, when an unknown amount of COVID-19 positives came up on their team before their second game against Minnesota-Duluth.
