Winona State hires Seth Wing as new baseball coach

Winona State Baseball is tapping its alumni base for its next head coach.

Warrior Athletics officially announced Tuesday that Seth Wing will succeed the now-retired Kyle Poock.

Wing played both baseball and football for Winona State from 1999-2003 and then was the baseball assistant coach from 03-2011. In those last three seasons, he was an associate head coach and helped lead the Warriors to the NCAA D-II World Series, where the team finished as runner-up.

Wing’s most recent job was the head coach of NAIA program Cornell College, a position he had held since 2012.
