Winona State falls in national championship game

Cary, NC — The Winona State Warriors came up short in the Division 2 Baseball National Championship Saturday.

West Florida (52-9) broke out the bats early and often as they shutdown Winona State (42-17) by a score of 12-2.

Tony Mueller lead the Warriors in hits, going 3-4 on the day. Daniel Vargas-vila recorded the win for West Florida, pitching 8 innings while allowing 10 hits and 2 earned runs. He struck out seven.
