Winona Police Dept. sees increase in number of counterfeit $100 bills
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — The Winona Police Department has seen an increase in the number of counterfeit $100 bills showing up in the Winona Area.
The Winona Area Chamber of Commerce sent the alert to its members after being contacted by the Winona Law Enforcement Center.
Winona police told News 8 they have received three reports of counterfeit money and Rochester police have seen a significant increase.
The counterfeit bills have no water marks. If you receive a counterfeit bill, call the Winona Police Department at (507) 457- 6302.
