Winona Gives highlights needs for local organizations
Website is a project of the Winona Nonprofit Alliance
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – The people of Winona have a new way to help others in the community.
‘Winona Gives’ is a new online giving portal, launched by the Winona Nonprofit Alliance.
40 different nonprofit organizations, including arts, health and education are a part of the effort.
Some organizations even have immediate needs, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizers hope that providing a digital way to help will prove beneficial for the community
“Our hope is that through the Winona Community Foundation and through the non-profit alliance, we can give people the opportunity to support the community that they love in just a way that’s very simple, easy and direct,” said Habitat for Humanity Winona-Fillmore Counties executive director Amanda Hedlund.
The Winona Gives effort is available on the Winona Community Foundation’s website.
