Winona County reports additional COVID-19 death, 73 new cases
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Another Winona County resident has died of COVID-19, Winona County reported Friday.
That brings the total to 26 Winona residents who have succumbed to the virus.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 73 additional positive COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total in the county to 2,334.
New Winona County cases include:
- Four people aged 5-9;
- Three people aged 10-14;
- Three people aged 15-19;
- Eight people in their 20s;
- Ten people in their 30s;
- Six people in their 40s;
- Nineteen people in their 50s;
- Seven people in their 60s;
- Eight people in their 70s; and,
- Five people in their 80s.
Winona County’s health department urged people to wear a mask over their nose and mouth when in public, avoid enclosed spaces with groups of people, stay six feet from people outside of your household, wash your hands often with soap and water, and get a COVID-19 test if you have cold or flu-like symptoms.
