Winona County Historical Society hosts museum open house
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Local children had the chance to learn while engaging in activities centered around the community. The Winona County Historical Society held a Museum open house Sunday afternoon.
The event was family-friendly, free to attend, and included activities like valentine decorating and scavenger hunts. The museum featured exhibits centered around Winona and it’s history.
Organizers at the museum say the event is all about giving back to the community.
“Free admission, lots of activities, and some treats and things for kids and families to do. It’s just kind of a fun way to get get people in the museum that maybe haven’t been here before or haven’t been here for a long time,” Winona County Historical Society executive director Mark Peterson said.
