WIAA approves girls wrestling championship for 2021, electronic seeding for basketball by 2021
Wisconsin is bringing girls wrestling to the high school sports fold.
The WIAA Board of Control on Wednesday voted 10-0 in favor of adding a girls wrestling individual state tournament in the 2021-22 season.
The board also voted to make permanent the two-division structure in boys hockey and to implement electronic seeding for basketball by the 2021 season. They also extending the summer coaching contact period up until the start of the football season.
