Whitehall woman dies in Trempealeau crash

TOWN OF PRESTON, Wis. (WKBT) — Teresa Reinart of Whitehall died Friday in a head-on collision in Trempealeau County, according to authorities.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office identified the two drivers in a fatal crash that happened just before 5 p.m. Friday in the town of Preston.

Fifty-year-old Reinart was driving north on Hwy. 53 in a Dodge pick-up when she crossed the center line and struck a Nissan pick-up being driven by Cesar Mendoza, 57, of Blair, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators say Reinart wasn’t wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene. Mendoza, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken to Tri-County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
