Western Wisconsin legislators share updates during La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce forum

Comments come as lawmakers are consider the state budget

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Local elected officials are once again sharing their priorities with local business leaders.

State Sen. Brad Pfaff, along with State Reps. Loren Oldenburg and Steve Doyle participated Monday in the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce forum series.

The impact of technology was a talking point for all three participants.

“Telehealth is clearly the wave of the future. It makes sense for a lot of different reasons,” said Doyle, an Onalaska Democrat.

“The federal dollars can be spent on broadband, so it kind of determines how much we stick into broadband on a state level,” said Oldenburg, R-Viroqua.

It comes as lawmakers consider the budget.
