Western Technical College’s Manufacturing Day allows high school students to explore career paths

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – It was Manufacturing Day at Western Technical College on Friday.

More than 60 students from three different schools stopped by to explore possible careers and get a tour of Western’s facilities.

The event gives students an opportunity to get familiar with the technology and education the college has to offer.

“Being able to expose these students to these careers, high paying careers, with a lot of job opportunities is really what today is about,” said Tyler Ludeking, the K-12 partnership specialist for Western.

Programs introduced to those students include welding, CNC, and mechanical design.
