Western Technical College hosting electronic recycling, restoration event in La Crosse

If you’ve been holding onto some broken or outdated gadgets, Western Technical College may be able to take it off your hands.

The campus technology help desk is hosting an e-waste recycling event. Items can be dropped off at the Business Education building Monday, Wednesday and Friday of this and next week.

Those students will also try to repair broken electronics if possible, also free of charge.

“We’re basically providing a free service for the community where we try to help them learn a little bit more about technology and also troubleshoot their problems,” said Western Technology Help Desk Student Ben Bury.

You can drop off your gadgets free of charge at the La Crosse location at these times. Western’s Tomah campus is hosting its own recycling event next week, Monday through Wednesday.

They only ask you don’t bring computer monitors or televisions.
