Western Technical College expands Sparta training facility

SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) —  Western Technical College hosted a ceremony Tuesday at the site of its newly expanded public safety training facility in Sparta.

The building includes more classroom space for Western’s Law Enforcement-720 Academy and additional room for Western’s EMS program.

“This is needed,” Western President Roger Stanford said. “This building is packed from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. at night. It’s used by all the municipalities, all the fire districts in the community, as well as all the full programs that we run in all of those. So, this is just one of the busiest campuses we have. It’s always busy out here.”

This project is part of Western’s $4 million Sparta expansion project.
