Western requiring face masks starting Monday

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Western Technical College will require everyone to wear masks inside, regardless of vaccination status, starting Monday, it said in a release Friday.

“This move is designed as a temporary measure to stop the spread of the Delta Variant of COVID-19. Case rates are rising in our community once again, but we can do our part to stop the spread,” said Western President Roger Stanford.

No other changes will be made to physical distancing or class sizes.

Individuals may remove their masks when in private spaces, such as enclosed offices or in areas with no other individuals present. Students may also remove their masks when eating or drinking.
