Parents and business owners worked together to show their appreciation following the tragic shooting in Texas
WESTBY, Wis. (WKBT) – The tragic event in Uvalde, Texas has spurred communities across America to be grateful for what they have.
In Westby, parents and business owners worked together to show their appreciation. They left this heartfelt message in the staff lobby. “In the wake of this week’s tragedy, some WES parents wanted you to feel our love, support, grief, outrage, and gratitude. We are thinking about you and wanted to sprinkle some joy into your day,” The note ends with “We love you! WES parents.”
Parents also brought piles of snacks for those faculty members to thank them for all they do.
A News 8 Now viewer shared pictures of the message and snacks with us hoping other communities will find a way to show how grateful they are for local educators.
