Westby cheesemaker takes home big honors at World Championship Contest

An area cheesemaker can now call herself one of the world’s best.

We first introduced you to Brenda Jensen last week. She’s the owner of Hidden Springs Creamery in Westby.

Jensen’s cheese, which is made from sheep, was entered into the World Championship Cheese Contest this week in Madison.

Her Driftless Honey and Lavender cheese took first in the soft fresh cheese category.

She also took home a second and third place medal for her Meadow Melody, and Driftless Cranberry and Cinnamon Cheese in their respective categories.
