West Salem to require masks in the middle and high school again

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT)- Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 18, the West Salem school district will once again require masks indoors at the middle and high school.

In a note to families, the superintendent says cases of COVID-19 within the district are rising and they are doing everything possible to keep their doors open for in-person learning.

The number of staff members with COVID has started to stabilize after the holiday break, but the number of students testing positive has increased to points the district hasn’t seen.

The decision on masks will be re-evaluated January 28th.
