West Salem farmer kicks off campaign for 94th Assembly District
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – A West Salem farmer is kicking off his campaign for the 94th Assembly District.
Republican Kevin Hoyer met with area community members at the American Legion in Onalaska on Thursday.
Hoyer’s focus is on helping the rural economy and agriculture.
He also wants to address systemic issues like transportation, infrastructure, and broad-band that rural communities face.
He says he’s running because he doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines anymore.
“I just felt that if I’m going to sit and offer comments on how things should be done, I need to be ready to participate and help that process forward.”
Hoyer says he hopes to work across party lines so everyone in the district can be represented.
The seat is currently held by Democrat Steve Doyle.
Independent candidate Leroy Brown II is also running for the seat.
