West Salem avenges Week One loss to Onalaska, clinches spot in state title game

The Panthers got their redemption on Friday night against Onalaska, and to make matters even sweeter for West Salem, the 37-14 victory over the Hilltoppers at Logan High School secured a spot for the Coulee Conference champs in the Division 3 state title game next Friday at Camp Randall.

The Panthers trailed 6-0 at the end of the first quarter, but West Salem went on to score 37 unanswered points, capped off by a rushing touchdown from Luke Noel midway through the 4th quarter that ultimately sealed the deal.

The Panthers will take on Monroe next Friday at 10 a.m. in Madison, with a state championship up for grabs.
