Weekend fire in Ettrick displaces two people
Authorities say Premier Powdercoating building a complete loss
ETTRICK, Wis. (WKBT) — A weekend fire in Ettrick caused more concern Saturday afternoon as crews worked to put out hotspots.
The fire broke out around midnight Saturday morning on South Main Street at Premier Powdercoating, INC.
Ettrick Fire Chief Jim Beirne said crews worked well into the morning to cleanup but the fire was under control in about two hours.
No one was injured, but two residents living above the building were displaced.
One resident, who lives just down the street from where the fire happened, said his power went out this morning for a few hours for safety reasons.
Chief Beirne said the bar next to it, called Wieners Bar, also suffered heavy smoke and water damage.
Authorities say Premier Powdercoating is a complete loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
