Updated: Weber Health Logistics opens COVID-19 vaccination clinic in La Crosse
Clinic adds to vaccination efforts of Gundersen, Mayo Clinic Health Systems in La Crosse County
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Weber Health Logistics in La Crosse is helping vaccinate those eligible in our community.
The company was able to move up their vaccination effort after a little more than a month of preparations.
Doses of the vaccine arrived Monday and they’ve already started giving the shots.
Vaccines will be available to those determined to be eligible by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
“There are thousands of people that need to be vaccinated over the next few months. And Mayo and Gundersen are vaccinating hundreds of people every day, but they need our assistance,” said Terri Boardman Weber Health Logistics vaccine clinic nurse manager.
Anyone coming to the site needs to pre-register.
Anyone who meets the qualifications is asked fill out a vaccine screening and interest form on the La Crosse County Health Department’s website.
UPDATE: As of Jan. 29, Weber Health Logistics will no longer charge an administrative cost of $23. As per government mandate the vaccine is free, it’s the administrative costs associated that are potentially charged.
