High Today: 80F / Low Tonight: 57F - Last updated Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 8:35 AM...
Today will start a dry and nice 4-day stretch of weather with pleasant temps and low humidity. It's still rather muggy this morning near and south of I-90, but humidity will decrease from north to south today... making for a pleasant afternoon with highs in the mid 70s to around 80F. Expect a mix of sun and clouds as storms pass well to our south across Iowa.
Mostly clear and cooler tonight. Lows will range from the upper 40s (north/east) to the mid-upper 50s. Winds will only be around 5 mph or less, so patchy fog will be possible late and into early Thursday morning, especially in the river valleys.
Sunny to partly cloudy Thursday. It will be pleasant with highs in the upper 70s and low humidity. More of the same is expected for Friday and Saturday with highs in the upper 70s to around 80F.
Much of Sunday could end up staying dry as well. The latest forecast data doesn't bring chances for showers and t-storms into the area until late Sunday, perhaps even Sunday night. Highs Sunday will be in the low 80s.
Looking Ahead... Chance of showers and t-storms on Monday. A bit warmer and more humid as well with highs in the low-mid 80s.
Isolated showers and t-storms will be possible each day Tuesday through Thursday, but expect lots of dry time each day as well. Highs will gradually cool from the low-mid 80s Tuesday... to the upper 70s Thursday.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! -Bill Graul
