Alternate side parking rules back in effect for 48-hour 'snow disposal period'

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) - Alternate side parking in La Crosse may be over, but the city's Street Department has declared a 48 hour Snow Disposal Period.

La Crosse's Street Department put the snow emergency parking rules into effect ahead of Monday night's snow storm.

Like during the normal winter dates, drivers will be required to park on the side of the street that coincides with the date. One major difference though is vehicles will have to be on the correct side of the street for the entire day. It also includes the entire city, meaning there are no exempt areas.

These rules will last until 6 a.m. Thursday.
