WBCA Hall of Fame coach Gary Hines retires after 29 years

WBCA Hall of Fame Head Coach Gary Hines has announced his retirement after 29 years.

Hines spent the majority of that time coaching North Crawford for 25 years, before finishing at Wauzeka-Steuben. He led North Crawford to 334 wins and set a Ridge and Valley Conference winning streak of 31 games in 2000.

In four years with Wauzeka-Steuben, Hornet boys basketball was 73-20 with two consecutive conference titles. The Hornets went 22-3 and reached the sectional finals this past winter, but COVID-19 kept them from seeing the season out.

Hines finishes his career with a record of 407-207.
