Wauzeka-Steuben boys basketball look to cap off a perfect regular season
Wauzeka-Steuben boys basketball team is one game away from a perfect regular season.
A big reason for this is because of Seth Bunders who transferred in last season.
Second-year head coach Isaiah Okey says that Bunders brings everyone’s game up a level.
“The boys really mesh with him, they’ve only continued to grow as the seasons gone on. they got along well to start the season and it really showed. This is a team where a lot of times they’ll make that extra pass when they don’t need to and little things like that so they’re not selfish at all, they play well together and they’ve just worked really hard to get where they are right now, undefeated,” said Okay.
Wauzeka-Steuben has already secured a 1 seed for the WIAA State tournament and they’re looking to improve on last year’s state tournament appearance.
They will finish the regular season with a chance to stay undefeated on Thursday at De Soto.
