Water distribution effort continues for town of Campbell as more than 100 wells have tested positive for PFAs
More distribution efforts may be held if need continues
CAMPBELL, Wis. (WKBT) – Another water distribution is helping people living in the town of Campbell.
The drive thru distribution, which took place at the Days Inn on French Island, is in response to the PFAs contamination found in more than one hundred wells on the island.
The town started today with two truck loads of water to distribute after about four truck loads were distributed last month.
Water was free to residents.
Town leaders are looking to their next steps to deal with the contamination.
“We’re working closely with the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Health at the state level. Additional testing is going to being next week. And that way we can get more data,” said Town of Campbell supervisor Lee Donahue.
The town of Campbell says that as more water distribution events may be coming if the need continues.
