Warming Up a Bit This Week
This will certainly not go into the books as one of the nicer weekends we have seen. Today, we left off where yesterday ended… cloudy, cool and a bit breezy. Plus, we saw those pesky rain and snow showers from time to time.
As we head into tonight, look for that strong low pressures system over southern Canada to move away from the area. That will help take care of the those rain and snow showers, which should fade out as the evening wears on. Clouds look to hang tough again tonight. Clouds will actually work in our favor. If we were to clear out we would see much colder temperatures. Look for lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
As we head into Monday look for a cloudy start to the day. We should see some sunshine make an appearance by afternoon. Sunshine and a light west wind will give temperatures a boost into the lower 50s.
Another storm system will move across the northern tier of states Monday night into Tuesday. This will bring our next chance for showers and isolated t-storms. Look for a low in the upper 30s to lower 40s Monday night. Rain chances will continue into the first half of Tuesday before ending. Look for highs in the middle 50s Tuesday afternoon.
Looking Ahead… We get a break from the rain Wednesday and Thursday. After a bit of a cool and breezy Wednesday, look for temperatures to warm as we head into the end of the week into next weekend. Highs should easily reach the lower to middle 60s Friday though Monday. Unfortunately, the warm up will be accompanied by a storm system that will bring rain chances to the area for the weekend into early next week. .
