Warming Center looking for additional volunteers

Cold weather will soon be here in La Crosse and area organizations are preparing.

Catholic Charities is seeking volunteers for the downtown La Crosse warming shelter.

Volunteers staff the center overnight, providing shelter for area homeless.

Catholic Charities staff say every volunteer makes a big impact.

“It’s basically just sitting and just making sure that things are going well. We do have a staffed, paid staff that is here at night also, we just need another hands on,” said Leticia Silva, Warming Center Coordinator.

The warming center opens for the season November 1st.

Information is available on Catholic Charities website, cclse.org.
