Warm weather causes local jazz group to take concert indoors
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Because of the heat advisory Sunday evening, The La Crosse Jazz Orchestra’s ‘Jazz in the Park Concert’ was moved from its scheduled Riverside Park location.
Instead, it was held inside the Cavalier Theater on 5th Street.
The Jazz Orchestra played a wide variety of Big Band music for all ages.
The free concert was at 7:00 p.m.
La Crosse Jazz Orchestra bass player Karyn Quinn said, “We’re very fortunate that Jason, of course, has got the air conditioning cranked up, and we hope to have no bugs indoors, so we want everybody to join us tonight.”
The concert was the second in the orchestra’s five concert season. To find out about all their performances, visit www.lacrossejazzorchestra.com.
