Walz signs order for Minnesota National Guard to provide COVID-19 aid

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WKBT)–Governor Tim Walz signed an Executive Order that allows the Minnesota National Guard to administer aid in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their first mission is to transport protective equipment to the Minnesota Department of Health warehouse in St. Paul.

They are also to assist in the delivery of the equipment throughout the State Emergency Operations Center.

“In times of need, Minnesotans need to pull together to make sure we have the resources and supplies we need to get through challenges,” said Governor Walz.
