‘Walk of Terror’ hopes to raise funds for cancer research

CHASEBURG, Wis (WKBT) – With Halloween right around the corner, area organizations are getting into the spooky spirit. ‘The Walk of Terror’ brought the spirit of Halloween to the Chaseburg Village Park.
The event was ‘scare-free’ from 4 until 6 Saturday night, with ‘scare time’ from 6 until 10. Safety protocols were in place, with masks required for visitors.
Admission was $5 with the funds going to support the American Cancer Society Sole Burner of Chaseburg. The goal was to donate to a good cause while having fun.
“These poor kids have been locked at home. They’re not able to go play with their friends, for the most part, they don’t get to go to school. So this is the safest we can do so these kids can have fun and be safe,” said Devonia Wilson, the organizer for the event as well as the Wilsonville Walkers.
The organization has been raising money to help fight cancer for 15 years.
