Viterbo University honors pioneer of the Fine Arts Center
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The community is honoring a former long-time broadcaster and general manager of Midwest Family Broadcasting.
Viterbo University is dedicating the Fine Arts Center entrance to Dick Record.
Record has a long history of working with Viterbo’s Fine Arts Program.
He became a member of the Board of Advisors in the mid-’70s.
In 2019 Record became an emeritus member of the board.
However, he still likes to attend meetings and continues to be involved in the arts community.
Record says art has always been an important part of his life.
“I like the arts, I grew up with friends who we’re in the arts. I’m not an artist, at least not a visual one. But I fell in love with this stuff.”
The University says he’s a pioneer of the Fine Arts Center and a leader in our community.
