Viterbo men’s basketball wins late thriller over River Falls

Viterbo men’s basketball used late heroics to beat UW-River Falls 68-62 on Wednesday.

The V-Hawks trailed by four at the end of the first half, and the final nine minutes of the second half were the epitome of back-and-forth basketball, with seven ties and 13 lead changes.

Freshman Jack Monis delivered a huge block on a River Falls fast break attempt to keep the deficit at two with 3:30 left to play. After that play, Tyree Young led the V-Hawks on a 10-2 run to wrap up the win. Young finished with 22 points and four steals.
