Viroqua man injured in vehicle vs. tractor crash
TOWN OF VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — A Viroqua man was injured Sunday after he rear-ended a tractor on Hwy. 14 near Oak Knoll Road in the town of Viroqua, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
Timothy A. Goldsmith, 39, was driving south on the highway at about 7:35 p.m. when he struck the agricultural equipment trailer attached to the rear of the tractor driven by Curtis J. Forde, 67, Viroqua.
The crash caused Goldsmith’s vehicle to travel off the highway into the grassy median.
Goldsmith, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was transported by Tri-State Ambulance to Vernon Memorial Hospital in viroqua with non-life-threatening injuries.
Forde was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation. Assisting with the accident was Tri-State Ambulance, Viroqua Fire Department, and Viroqua Police Department.
