VFW-Warfighter Advance to hold PTSD Benefit Gala

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)–Members of the La Crosse community want to help veterans suffering from PTSD get back on their feet.

This Tuesday, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, District 11, and Warfighter Advance are holding a benefit gala.

Money raised will go toward the Veterans’ Suicide Prevention Program.

But organizers say their mission goes above and beyond the battlefield.

“We should do everything we can to help these veterans get beyond their post-traumatic stress and live normal, productive lives.” said Warfighter Advance chairman Jim Crigler.

Organizers plan to split the money raised between the Wisconsin Department of VFW and Warfighter Advance, specifically for their PTSD treatment programs.
