Veterans walk across state to raise awareness for PTSD
Veterans walk from La Crosse to Milwaukee
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Veterans are walking across Wisconsin to raise awareness for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Fifteen-year military veteran of the Air Force and Army, Travis Good, suffers from PTSD from deployments during his service and wants to help others, like him, get help.
Good, along with other veterans from La Crosse, are walking all the way to Milwaukee to spread awareness.
Good will be stopping every 65 minutes to salute for one minute in recognition of a veteran who has taken their own life.
“Not a day goes by that there’s not two or three people complaining about, they’re going to commit suicide, and probably two a week do,” said Good.
The walk is for everyone suffering with P-T-S-D… not just veterans.
