Vernon County test event finds 3 positive from outside county

VIROQUA, Wis. — Nearly 250 people were tested for COVID-19 during a community event on July 27, according to the Vernon County Office of Emergency Management.
The results of all 182 Vernon County residents who were tested were negative, the department said.
Out of 60 people from the surrounding area who were tested, 57 were negative and three were positive.
As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, 5,079 tests had been administered in Vernon County, with 4,989 negative results and 60 positive.
The newest positive case is a woman in her 40s who is isolating at home. None of the positive cases is hospitalized, four are isolating at home and 56 have recovered, the emergency management office said.
