Vernon County seeks input to set outdoor rec goals for five years
VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — Vernon County wants residents to participate in a short survey to help update its Outdoor Recreation Plan.
The plan is intended to identify issues, opportunities and needs to establish public policies that make the most appropriate use of County resources. It will establish goals for the future of community outdoor recreation during the next five years.
“In addition to tourism economic impacts for our local communities, outdoor recreation is a significant industry driving Vernon County’s economy and providing quality of life for our residents,” said Christina Dollhausen, Vernon County’s economic development and tourism coordinator.”
“Being strategic about updating this plan for improving our current and enhancing our future outdoor recreation is a great step,” Dollhausen said.
Participants in developing the plan include county committees, outdoor recreation groups and members of the community in general.
Organizers ask people to fill out the five-minute anonymous survey by or before Nov. 3.
The survey link also is on the county website
